Strawberry Banana Ice Cream
Strawberry Banana Ice Cream – just 2 simple ingredients, no ice cream maker needed and it’s ready in less than 10 minutes. This guilt-free frozen treat is gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan.
Did you know that you can make ice cream from frozen bananas? Frozen bananas, once blended, have a silky-smooth and creamy texture, just like ice cream or soft-serve.
It’s important to you use ripe bananas – the riper the better! You can make this strawberry banana ice cream in either a food processor or a blender.
The recipe can be tweaked to fit your preferences. If it’s not sweet enough, add some honey, maple syrup or agave nectar, to keep it vegan. Use raspberries, blueberries or blackberries instead of strawberries. You can even stir in some chopped nuts or chocolate chips and drizzle with strawberry sauce.
Serve the “nice cream” right away for a soft serve consistency or freeze it for a couple of hours to get a scoopable texture. If you freeze it for longer, allow it to soften a bit at room temperature before serving.
Enjoy this healthy two-ingredient ice cream as an after dinner treat, as an afternoon snack or even for breakfast!
