Easy Individual Apple Crisps

Easy Individual Apple Crisps: Serve them warm with ice cream and perhaps a drizzle of caramel sauce for a quick and delicious dessert!

Ingredients
  • For the apple filling:
  • 2 medium apples peeled and sliced into thin wedges
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • For the crumble topping:
  • 60 grams (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 90 grams (1/3 cup+1 tablespoon) light brown sugar
  • 45 grams (1/2 cup) old fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 55 grams ( 1/2 stick) unsalted butter chilled and cut into small cubes
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F). Grease 4 ramekins with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon. Now blend in the butter with a pastry cutter or with your fingertips until moist clumps form.
  4. Divide the apples evenly between the ramekins and top with the crumbly mixture.
  5. Bake for 30/35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are soft and easily pierced with a skewer. If the crisp gets brown too quickly, loosely cover it with foil.
  6. Serve these individual apple crisps warm with whipped cream, Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream if desired. Enjoy!
